Quality and experience
General Project Energy is aimed at manufacturers and users of alternator groups, gas turbines, steam, hydroelectric turbines, large engines and heavy duty industrial machinery. We build and rehabilitate bearings, runners, bushings and components with white metal inserts and other anti-friction alloys, with a dimensional range from 20 to 2000 mm.
Our staff enjoys decades of specific experience, we are able to offer suitable solutions and specific engineering for new or old special components to be rehabilitated or reconstructed by means of reverse engineering, carry-overs by centrifugation, gravity bath or drop-by-drop torch carryover or TIG.
Below are some examples of processes, for more info we are available at the email info@gpeitalia.com
Bearings
For industrial application we have supplied a DN125 journal bearing and a DN100 thrust bearing As you can see from the photos on the thrust bearing we have also supplied and installed the resistance thermometers. The basic material for the construction of the bearings is S355J2 EN10025 and the centrifugal white metal coating is MB80 UNI4515. The quality control plan for the supply includes dimensional checks and VT, PT and UT non-destructive tests on the finished pieces. Non-destructive tests are always performed by a UNI EN ISO 9712 certified second-level technician.
Delivery time? 8 weeks.
Generator stands
For an electric generator we supplied three new bearings, one DN 250x250 exciter side, one DN 380x495 thrust bearing and the last one DN 350x360 flywheel side. The basic material for the construction of the bearing is C45 EN10083-2 and the centrifugal white metal coating is MB90 UNI4515
The quality control plan for the supply includes dimensional checks and VT, PT and UT non-destructive tests on the finished pieces. Non-destructive tests are always performed by a UNI EN ISO 9712 certified second-level technician.
Delivery time? 12 weeks.
Bearings and thrust pads
The first photo of the post sums up all our work.
For the destination of the hydraulic turbine installed in Italy, we had to supply 24 new pads and overhaul two bearings, one DN350 and the other DN400.
Delivery time: 6 weeks!
The white metal coating was made with MB90 UNI 4515 by centrifugation.
The final tests, in addition to the dimensional check, were VT, PT and UT. All made by a UNI EN ISO 9712 level II technician
